Bald Hill Reserve Walk

Join Council’s Biodiversity Officer, Dr Jaclyn Harris, for a special community event at Bald Hill Reserve, Kyneton, in recognition of National Threatened Species Day.

Enjoy a guided walk through the reserve and take in the beauty of this unique landscape. Attendees will learn about the importance of bushland reserves like Bald Hill and the vital role they play in protecting threatened species and local biodiversity.

Bald Hill Reserve is a 96-hectare expanse of forest, woodland, and grassland. Notably, it provides habitat for threatened species such as the Clover Glycine (Glycine latrobeana), Matted Flax Lily (Dianella amoena), and the Brown Toadlet (Pseudophryne bibronii).

National Threatened Species Day is held on 7 September each year to highlight the plight of endangered species, marking the date of the death of the last remaining Tasmanian Tiger.

Bring coat, covered shoes, hat and gloves- walk will be modified if raining

Terrain- gravel path, undulating with some small inclines
